We finished the essay today and the class started to check with the teacher one by one. I was not called today so, I checked my essay and made sure that I didn't have any mistakes on my essay. One thing that I found hard checking was the things I weren't sure of. For example, on the citation in the text, I thought I had to put the year along with the family name but after fact checking with classmates and the internet, I learned that that was not needed. There was not a lot more to do in class. 

We did not do much in today's class. The teacher told me that I would need to split my hard drive to get it on my Chromebook, but he did not advise this. At home I would like to try it with my parents Mac book. 

Today we learned how to use Zotero. Yesterday I din't know how to download Zotero and so I e-mailed the teacher to check if it is possible. Zotero is an convenient app to help with the citing with the essay. What I thought was a great feature was the fact that this can be used with many different types of sources. For example from Google books, Amazon, Websites, and articles. This was good because not all types of sources have the same thing written on them on the cite. This app will allow it to differentiate the different sources. 

Today we were introduced to Zotero. I felt like Zotero will make the citing in our essays easier. This is because in our essays there are many ways to cite the sources we used but by using this app it would allow us to cite them in ease. He told to download the app but I didn't know how to with a Chromebook.

Today was the first class from winter break. In class we started writing our essays which were mainly a copy of the brochures we finished at the end of the second trimester. Most of the writing will be a copy but I did not have 3 resources in my essay so I will have to find some to put in my essay. Another thing we would have to do is change the introduction and the conclusion. This was because our previous one was for the whole upgrade but my essay focuses on one solution of the upgrade which was the table rearrangement. These are the things that I would like to finish before the next class. 

       Today was the day we were graded on our document and site. Some of the problems I had was the amount of pronouns used in my paragraphs. In most of my paragraph there were multiple times when I used we, I , and us and that was the main thing that put my grades lower. Another thing I would like to improve is the bio under our picture. The advice that Mr. Paterson gave us was to talk about the qualifications that we have to make us valid to give this statements. One thing that is in my current bio is that I have lived in America for most of my life. But this was not enough as just living there was not enough to say that I can say anything. That is why in the revised version I would like to add the fact that I have been to over 10 different school over my life and so I know the small improvements that school make to make the life easier for the students. Today was the last day to finish the brochure and essay. One thing we had to rush on was the website because we were so caught up in the essay that we were not able to get our hands on the website. The AWL and RL were also really hard because we had to force our paragraph into sounding hard and high level but I thought that took away the creativity we had in our writing. For example, one of my group members wanted to make a high leveled sentence so they used the word developed in the sentence multiple. Times. Consequently, because the word developed was hackneyed even though it was higher in level it was forced and was not a sentence that was enjoyable.
