Today we got our grades back for the essay，so we were told to fix mistakes on our essay. Some of these included wrong verb tense, awkward sentences, grammar issues, and plagiarism problems. Many of the grammar issues were those that were easy to fix, except for one part where I made the sentence unclear. One example of a grammar mistake was using "have" in a past tense sentence. Others were the title and the comment said that it sounded more like a sentence than a title. To fix this I think it would be better to make the title shorter and making it easier to read. For example, I could change it from "A sensational book teaching us about the importance of civilization" to something shorter

We did not do much in today's class as Mr. Paterson gave us time to do our presentation and essay. One thing he did introduce us to is the Jalt association and it was interesting how people were able to get the chance to present in front of adults.
